Job Description
- The role of the Chief Operating Officer is to manage the company's proprietary investments, deal sourcing, execution and management of investments, Identifying viable investment opportunities, Project Evaluation, attraction of funding: debt/ equity to support projects.
- Strategy development and follow-on implementation.
- Providing on-going financial advice and assistance in fund raising.
- Overseeing the operations of company's hospitality businesses and infrastructure projects.
- Formulate investment strategy for target industries.
- Prepare and render management report to the company on a monthly basis.
- Minimum of first degree in Engineering/Social Sciences field from a reputable university (2nd Degree will be added advantage)
- Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience within the financial services sector; as Investment Analyst with Private Equity/Venture capital background.
- Relevant post-graduation training and qualification (certification/ membership of professional bodies
- Proven ability to pre-identify liquidity and exit options prior to completing investments
- Track record of successes in achieving liquidity and exit targets for portfolio companies
- Ability to agree rate of returns on investments
- Sound knowledge of the economy and opportunities
- Good project evaluation, real estate/infrastructure development experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good industry knowledge especially in Lagos terrain
- Highly proficient in Microsoft presentation and report packages
- Grounded experience in dealing/liaising with 3rd party contractors to ensure quality service on schedule.
